Steve Kraft Sewing Machine RepairIn 1986, Steve went through extensive sewing machine repair training through John Supan and Associates in Chicago, Illinois. Steve worked as an independent contractor through Supan and Associates in Memphis, Tennessee for six years, working through Hancock Fabrics as a mobile repair service, repairing all brands of machines.

After fine-tuning his skills, Steve took a new Hancock district in 1990 in the Denver area with 12 stores. In 2000, he began his own company, Mr. Repair, Inc.

Between the fall of 2008 and ending May 31st, 2011, Steve ran his mobile business on scheduled days at 10 metro Denver JoAnn Fabrics locations, where he also set up his service at Colorado Fabrics (formerly Denver Fabrics) in Littleton every Wednesday.

Steve continued with his workshop inside Colorado Fabrics, from 2008 until Colorado Fabrics permanently closed their business in November 2019.

Steve currently is servicing his customers at The Craft Box, (located in Wheat Ridge, Co) every Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 10am-3pm.

Mr. Repair has partnered with The Craft Box: The Craft Box is a thrift store totally dedicated to crafters. They buy craft supplies from individuals, estates and companies, and sell those items at great prices! They specialize in quilting, needlework, card marking, knitting, crocheting and scrapbooking supplies.

Another partnership inside the building is: The Stitching Factory, Lauren does custom sewing, alterations, home decor, pattern drafting and more!

Beginning January 15, 2020, Steve picks up sewing machines and scissors every Monday at 10:30 am, and returns them the following Monday at 10:30 am, at Thread Play by Bernina, located in Centennial,CO.

Mr Repair, Inc. has a pick up and drop off location at The Knife Guys, Inc., located in Denver.
Steve picks up sewing machines and scissors every Thursday at 9:00am, and returns them the following Thursday at 9:00am

Steve is a Certified Necchi Technician. In February, 2016, Steve received his certification as a Necchi Technician. He attended and completed one-on-one training at Janome Headquarters in Mahwah, New Jersey. Steve can handle all Necchi warranty issues and repairs.

In 2007, Mr. Repair, Inc. became a vendor for all Metro County School Districts, working with Middle School and High Schools, servicing machines for the Consumer and Family Studies programs.

Enjoy your Independence Day Holiday week! We will be closed June 29th-July 5th.

The Craft Box will also be closed June 29 – July 5, so machines and scissors cannot be brought in during that time period. Machines and scissors dropped off at Thread Play from Thursday June 25th-July 4th, will be picked up the following Monday, July 6th at 10:30 am.

Thread Play – Mr. Repair, Inc. (Steve’s) schedule has changed. Steve will be picking up sewing machines and scissors on Monday’s at 10:30 am, and returning them the following Monday at 10:30 am. Please have your machines there by Saturday for Monday pick-up. The Craft Box –  Mr. Repair, Inc. will re-open his in-store workshop at The Craft Box beginning Thursday July 9th.  Steve will have his in-store service every Thursday, Friday & Saturday from 10am to 3pm. The Knife Guys –  Steve has not resumed his pick-up/drop-off services at The Knife Guys, Inc. in Denver.  We miss seeing our friends there, and are looking forward to getting started back picking up machines later in the summer.
